Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is a “vin doux naturel”, a lightly fortified wine where fermentation is arrested by “mutage”, the addition of 95% ABV grape spirit. 
The wine shows intense aromatics, rich fruitiness, and a delightful balance between sweetness and acidity. It has gained complexity from its long aging. This makes it a versatile food wine which makes it a usfeul pairing for both savory and sweet dishes.
