Sanchez Romate is one of the oldest bodegas in Spain and one of the few that remains in the hands of a Jerez family. The dry oloroso is a rich ochre in colour, has a toffee nose with a hint of spicy heat, which leads to a nutty, nicely balanced, long, warming and smooth palate. Delicious, and well suited to drinking as an aperitif, with tapas, olives, almonds, or later with cheese.
