Never mind the tricky name, this is a delicious Gros Manseng from the same area as Madiran, north of Pau. A lovely pale yellow, it delivers lots of flavour, texture and length. While dry, it's rich and weighty in the mouth. A splendid food white, it's also very drinkable on its own.
