Made from 70 year old Grenache Noir vines, with a 30 day maceration followed by 18 months in oak barrels. Vin Doux Naturel is made by stopping the fermentation by adding alcohol when the right balance of natural sweetness is reached. The palette is velvety, with fresh morello cherry, then jammy slightly spicy fruits, and a soft woody finish. An excellent match for chocolate, and equally good with cheese.
