Chitry-le-Fort is a small village just 12km south west of Chablis. The marl and limestone rich kimmeridgian soils are very similar to their famous neighbour, and the vineyards produce comparable tight, mineral Chardonnays. Giraudon use exclusively stainless steel for ageing, only natural yeasts and all picking is done by hand. 
The wine has a golden yellow colour. The nose has aromas of white flowers and fruits (lime, grapefruit) making it a fresh, round and generous wine. Hints of salinity give a lovely freshness.This is beautifully crafted and demonstrates the value on offer when you come off the beaten Burgundy track.
