Domaine Jones wines are produced only in very small quantities. The old vine grapes for this wine come from Katie’s Les Rebouls and Le Colombier vineyards in Tuchan.
In Katie’s words,
” This red wine is very much alive and kicking with red berry fruits, spice and pepper. Carignan is the bad boy grape of the Languedoc. It was prized for its high yields which made a less than average wine and went into most of the blended wine in this area. Now it is seeing something of a renaissance as These 100 year old vines and small yields make a lovely, concentrated, big wine.”
