The fruit for this Old Vines (70 years + !) Grenache Gris comes from the domaine's original vineyard under the imposing Cathar Castle of Queribus in Maury in the Roussillon. The vine age, altitude and stony, slate soils produce naturally very low yields of very high quality. The wine is bottled as an IGP Côtes Catalanes.
Pale lemon gold in appearance, there's an elegance to the nose which is matched on the palate,  which is textured, round and hinting of herbs and ripe fruit. Beautifully balanced, it lasts an age on the tongue.
