Made from 45% Syrah, 29% Carmenere, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Grenache and 5% Mourvedre, the grapes for the Max VIII come from a selection of different vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley. It's a rich dark ruby. The nose starts quietly, but emerges to show red fruits with hints of nuts. The palate is well balanced, complex, full and smooth, but with a little crunch which suggests it will age well. Interesting and very drinkable.
