Pais is an ancient grape variety originally brought to south America by the Spanish Conquistadores over 500 years ago. This wine is mid-ruby, with a lovely fruity nose showing some wood. The palate is fruity with some spice, balanced fruit and tnnins, rounded, warm and long.  It's very quaffable, and invites another glass.
