This blend of around 85% Malbec and 15% Corvina is made by a double fermentation process which combines the Malbec grapes with dried Corvina grapes, very like a Valpolicella Ripasso, which isn't surpring since it's made by Masi, a leading Valpolicella estate. It's deep, with a smoky rich nose, and hints of raisins. The palate is beautifully balanced, velvety and long, mixing fresh dark fruit, spice and oak. Interesting, perfect with cheese, and excellent value.
