The fruit for the Nederburg The Anchor Man Old Vine Chenin Blanc was sourced from old, low-yielding Swartland & Agter-Paarl vines, 38 & 36 years old respectively.

One portion of fruit was fermented in 300 & 500 litre barrels; the second in stainless-steel
tanks; the third in amphorae (clay pots), then kept on the lees for 9 months before final blending and bottling.

The wine is a bright gold, the nose shows ripe stone fruits, with floral & citrus notes and hints of spice. It's full-bodied with layers of fruit, a  great balance between slight sweetness and acidity, and a very long finish. Fabulous!
