A port of a single vintage, Niepoort Late Bottled Vintage Port is aged for between four to six years in old oak casks, as opposed to "Vintage Port" that is usually aged for between 2 and 3 years.
It's rich ruby in colour, there's dark chocolate, spice, perhaps menthol, on the nose, a seductive palate showing warmth and a touch of wood alongside the sweet fruit, and a long firm finish.
