Marlborough is a region that is increasingly gaining a reputation for the quality of its Pinot Noir.Winemaking is carried out using minimal handling and gravity flow. After a cold soak and indigenous fermentation, the wine was pressed into French oak barriques for maturation, before being clarified and bottled in February 2022.The nose shows attractive notes of fresh Black Doris plums and raspberries with a hint of cloves and earthy complexity. The palate is medium bodied and beautifully balanced. It displays supple red fruit flavours and soft tannins. While elegant and silky there’s enough juicy acidity to give freshness, and it closes in a lingering finish.Ruby with an amber tint, a nose of plums and warm strawberry with a hint of spice, and again on the long warm palate. Nicely balanced. Very drinkable either on its own or with food.
