Largely from very low-yields (in the drought year) from bush vines planted in 1987 on koffieklip (ferricrete, a sedimentary rock widely distributed in the Cape) and loam; and fermented in third fill, large French oak barrels. Pale lemon colour, with quince, herbs and lemons showing on the nose. The palate combines balanced acidity with a creamy texture and touches of lime, greengage and grapefruit. Good structure and length, with a hint of almonds on the finish.
