A rare example of a pure Tannat wine which isn't from SW France or Uruguay, this is fresher and lighter than you might expect from the grape. It's more red fruit than black, juicy, a little spicy heat, long and well balanced. Fine on its own but has enough oomph (technical term) to go with even quite robust food.
