The Quinta Dos Murças Minas vineyards are between 110 - 300 metres above sea level, planted with classic Douro red grape varieties. 
 
The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed, crushed, foot-trodden before temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation in granite lagares. The wine is matured for around 9 months in a combination of 50% concrete vats and 50% used French oak barrels
 
The wine is an intense dark red colour, with purplish hints, the nose lush & concentrated, with ripe red & black fruits prominent, and a touch of floral & balsamic notes. The palate is fresh & lively, with firm, mature tannins, & well-balanced acidity. A persistent finish balances freshness and ripeness.
