100% Saperavi from the Mukuzani micro-zone of the Kakheti region in eastern Georgia. Saperavi is a “teinturier” grape, that is, one of the quite rare red skinned grapes which also has red flesh. Mukuzani  is a dark ruby wine with intense notes of blackberries, blueberries, prunes, vanilla, leather and spices. The balanced acidity and tannins are perfectly expressed in the full-bodied character and finish of the wine. 
Mukuzani is a great match for barbeque, richer meat dishes, stews, spicy lamb chops or grilled mushrooms. Try with Georgian Khachapuri, a cheese-filled bread. It is also good with mature cheeses.
